Week 4 Patriots @ Bengal's L 13-38 |
Game
Summary: The Bengal's had the best of things in the first quarter,
out gaining New England 117-49, but Cincinnati had to settle for two
FG's and a 6-0 lead. It was all New England after that, as the Patriots
roared back to deal the Bengal's their most lopsided defeat of Marvin
Lewis’ coaching tenure. The Patriots rushed for 236 yards, including
125 on 15 carries by rookie Laurence Maroney, who scored 2 TD's. New
England QB Tom Brady passed for two scores. The Bengal's posted a
minus in turnover differential (minus-1) for the first time on the
season, and fell to a 3-1 record. New England improved to 3-1.
My Thoughts: I honestly have been so disappointed by the outcome
of Sunday's loss to the New England Patriots that I have not even
wanted to update The Big Orange Machine. Not only did the Bengal's.
loss, we got taken to the woodshed. We laid a log of a turd this past
Sunday. It was Rudi Johnson's birthday, he was held to a dismal 65
rush yards but did score the lone Bengal's. touchdown. Carson Palmer
was sacked 4 times and fumbled 2 times. Our offensive line was a let
down. Does the injured Rich Braham being out hurt this much? And do
not get me started about the run defense. It was woeful. Granted,
Caleb Miller our 4th string linebacker was starting, along with Kevin
Kaesviharn, but I we are deep I thought?
Very disappointed with this game all the way around. |
